With an Award of Appreciation, Kearns Improvement District (KID) thanked Hansen, Allen & Luce (HAL) for its “skills, organization, expertise, professionalism, and commitment” in designing the district’s new 5-million-gallon water tank and 30-inch pipeline.
HAL accepted the award at KID’s September board meeting. The award plaque is made of wood from the roof structure of the original tank, which occupied the site for some 60 years before the new construction.
A resolution adopted by the board stated that “the design drawings were excellent, complete, and concise in the illustration of the project requirements” and that HAL effectively helped KID resolve many construction, regulatory, and budget issues “while providing an excellent product.”
KID selected HAL as the project’s consulting engineer in 2014, and the project is now nearing completion.
