Members of the Marina Pump Station project team, including Hansen, Allen & Luce’s (HAL’s) Mike Chambers, were presented with the Excellence in Concrete award at the American Concrete Institute (ACI) Intermountain Chapter’s annual banquet held March 8.
ACI recognized the team for the secondary water project at Marina Park in Saratoga Springs, Utah. The rapidly growing community in Utah County required additional irrigation supply for its residents. HAL recommended a local lakeside pump station that would not only meet the community’s immediate needs but also provide flexibility for the future.
With the design and construction of the new lakeside pump station, irrigation water is rapidly provided to residents in the city’s southern area. HAL designed a submerged intake, intake pipeline, pump station, and discharge facilities on a shoreline site in Marina Park.
