Chief Operating Officer
Dr. Tyler Allen is Chief Operating Officer at Hansen, Allen & Luce (HAL). Tyler’s expertise is in hydraulic/hydrologic analysis and design, and solid and hazardous waste landfill design. He also has experience as a Research Assistant at the Utah Water Research Lab (Utah State University). Dr. Allen has been involved in various design-related projects involving AutoCAD Civil 3D design. Specifically, he has been involved in various projects designing landfills (including drainage systems), detention basins, and pipelines for storm drain, sewer, and pressurized water systems.
Dr. Allen has been involved in various FEMA flood mapping projects. Through this experience, he has become proficient in using GIS along with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software (HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SewerCAD, and AutoCAD Storm and Sanitary Analysis 2011). He received B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Utah State University in Civil and Environmental Engineering with an emphasis in hydraulics.
