Civil & Environmental Engineer
Sophia Reyes is a Project Engineer at Hansen, Allen & Luce (HAL) and an integral member of the firm’s stormwater management, groundwater management, and water rights teams.
She contributes to a variety of projects, emphasizing collaborative, win-win solutions and optimal outcomes for each client. Sophia is proficient in water modeling and GIS software, including HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, ArcGIS, and ArcMap. Before joining HAL, Sophia worked as an intern in a geotechnical laboratory, where she gained experience with soil testing methods and soil behavior analysis. She earned her B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Utah, where she also served as an undergraduate research assistant in the Environmental Engineering Lab, conducting wastewater monitoring tests and collecting samples for analysis.
In her free time, Sophia loves to explore new restaurants, climb, and spend time with family and friends.
