Civil & Environmental Engineer

Ry is a Civil Engineer at Hansen, Allen & Luce (HAL). He has been involved in a variety of projects, including hydrologic modeling, open channel flow/hydraulic modeling, hydraulic structure design, and GIS. Prior to earning his master’s degree, he worked as a Stream Technician for Salt Lake County Watershed Planning and Restoration. His work focused on routine stream water quality sampling and monitoring, stream bank mobility surveying, stream stability BMPs, and riparian habitat restoration. Having received his B.S. in Watershed Science from Colorado State University, Ry has a strong background in the natural processes and human activities that impact fresh water sources.
Ry received his M.S. degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Utah with a thesis on climate change impacts on hydroelectric power generation in the Columbia River Basin. He received his B.S. from Colorado State University, where he majored in Watershed Science and minored in Global Environmental Sustainability and Sustainable Water.
