Civil & Environmental Engineer
Joshua Thompson is a project engineer at Hansen, Allen & Luce. He is a recent graduate from the University of Utah, earning his BS in Civil and Environmental Engineering. During his coursework, he solved open channel problems and modeled a river system using HEC-RAS and hydraulics knowledge as part of a group project. He also worked as a civil engineering tutor, guiding all grade levels in the University’s Tutoring Center. As an intern, he worked in drainage design developing skills in StormCAD and stormwater design. In June 2025, he joined HAL as a full-time project engineer. In his spare time, Joshua likes to mountain bike, play the piano, and enjoy the company of his friends.
