Civil & Environmental Engineer
Jacob is a Civil and Environmental Engineer at HAL 9 years of experience in a variety of projects related to groundwater, drinking water and wastewater. This includes drinking water and pressurized irrigation well house and booster station design. He has specific experience in designing a range of chlorination dosing systems for drinking water wells and booster stations, as well as transient or surge analysis for pressurized pipeline networks and pump houses. Jacob has experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D, KYPipe (transient analysis), ArcGIS, FSDATA (flow monitoring), AutoCAD Storm and Sanitary Analysis, EPANET, and EPANET-SWMM for master planning and hydraulic modeling. Additionally, he has experience modeling groundwater flow using WhAEM and AqteSOLV software.
Jacob received a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Brigham Young University, and a M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Iowa, where he studied historic nitrate data in rivers across Iowa and their impact on Gulf Hypoxia.
