Civil & Environmental Engineer

Ethan is a Project Engineer at Hansen, Allen & Luce (HAL) with a focus on infrastructure design. He specializes in designing all types of water conveyance facilities as well as reviewing, rating, and rehabilitating existing wastewater infrastructure. He has experience in modeling drainage districts and creating masterplans. He regularly performs calculations and contributes to the development of engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates. Using his skill in CIVIL 3D, Ethan has been able to design and complete gravity storm drain and wastewater pipelines, pressurized water conveyance and facilities, and well site projects. In addition to these facilities, he has experience drafting plans for springs, roadway water conveyance, and vaults for pressure-reducing valves. Ethan is proficient using HEC-RAS and other water modeling tools.
Ethan chose a career in civil engineering because he loves to see how communities integrate with the existing environment around them. In his spare time, he enjoys running, going to farmers’ markets, and testing new recipes on his friends and family. He earned his B.S. degree in civil engineering from the University of Utah.
