Principal

Brian is a Principal and a Project Manager at HAL with more than 27 years of professional experience in water resources engineering. Brian has been involved in numerous projects for municipalities, water districts, Native American tribes, and private companies. He excels at finding creative solutions to technical, political, and social challenges associated with projects, which lends itself to finding effective solutions for complex water right related issues for clients. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming.
Brian works closely with the Northwestern Band of the Shoshone Nation for the Wuda Ogwa Cultural and Land Restoration Project, which has been recognized for having built one of the most collaborative models of watershed restoration in the American West while successfully restoring the land to its natural state. He also serves as a Board Member for the Pleasant Grove Metropolitan Water District and the Springville Irrigation Company. He has held various positions within ASCE including a term as Utah Section President. In 2019, Brian was awarded the HAL Vaughn E. Hansen Service With Integrity Award.
Brian received a B.S. degree in Biological Engineering and an M.S. degree in Irrigation Engineering from Utah State University.
