Rob Sowby, a water resources engineer at Hansen, Allen & Luce (HAL), has accepted a full-time faculty position in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Brigham Young University. He will start on June 1, 2021.
In his eight years at HAL, Dr. Sowby has supported numerous studies and designs of urban water infrastructure. Some of those projects led to research opportunities, particularly in the water-energy nexus and sustainability, that he will be able to enhance at BYU while also teaching and mentoring future engineers.
After transitioning to BYU, Dr. Sowby will remain available part-time to advise special projects at HAL.
