Sowby speaks at CAES Geofluids Seminar

Rob Sowby was this month’s keynote speaker at the Geofluids Seminar hosted by the Center for Advanced Energy Studies (CAES) and the University of Idaho in Idaho Falls.

Sowby, a water resources engineer at Hansen, Allen & Luce (HAL) and a Ph.D. student in the University of Utah’s Urban Water Group, addressed CAES researchers and affiliated personnel at the Oct. 20 event. In his talk he shared his research on the energy requirements of U.S. public water systems and offered recommendations for improving their energy efficiency.

Serving the water industry for over 40 years, HAL continues to seek public, private, and institutional partnerships to advance sustainable water supply.
