Ridley J. Griggs receives AWWA Young Professional award

The Intermountain Section of the American Water Works Association (IMS-AWWA) has selected Ridley J. Griggs, P.E., as the recipient of the 2022 Young Professional Award.

The award is given to a young professional who has exhibited leadership in the Utah/Idaho water industry with exceptional technical expertise in water-related fields, a commitment to leadership by contributing new ideas or overcoming problems, and active involvement with the IMS-AWWA section, AWWA, or other water-related organizations.

Ridley, a water resources engineer at Hansen, Allen & Luce (HAL), received the award during the organization’s annual conference held October 5–7, 2022, in Vernal, Utah. He has completed dozens of master planning and modeling efforts for water utilities throughout the section and has developed innovative unidirectional flushing plans that are effective and easy for operators to follow. Ridley recently received his Professional Engineer license and has become a Project Manager at HAL.

We congratulate him on this prestigious award.
