Utah-based engineering firm Hansen, Allen & Luce (HAL) is pleased to announce new corporate leadership. The long-planned succession became official on March 1, 2021.
“This transition has been several years in the making, designed to maintain continuity for our employees and our clients,” said newly appointed CEO Steve Jones. “We have selected three longtime employees to lead the firm and continue pursuing our vision to be a trusted leader in water resources engineering.”
Steven C. Jones, P.E., is Chief Executive Officer and Senior Principal. He has extensive experience focused on drinking water planning, modeling, design, and operation. He is a recognized expert in extended-period hydraulic modeling and has helped many water systems develop sustainable solutions to manage their growth. Steve received B.S. and M.S. degrees in civil engineering from Brigham Young University. He plays the cello in the Orchestra at Temple Square.
Gordon L. Jones, P.E., is company President and Senior Principal. He will manage finances and human resources. He has broad experience with solid and hazardous waste permitting, compliance, and construction quality assurance, as well as stormwater analysis. He received B.S. and M.S. degrees in civil engineering from Brigham Young University. Gordon lives in Park City and enjoys traveling and skiing.
Tyler G. Allen, Ph.D., P.E., oversees the engineering work of the firm as Chief Operating Officer and Senior Principal. He has been involved in various projects designing drainage systems, tanks, pump stations, and pipelines for storm drain, sewer, and pressurized water systems. Tyler received B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Utah State University in civil and environmental engineering with an emphasis in hydraulics.
Richard Noble will continue to serve as Vice President over marketing and business development. Former corporate officers Marv Allen and David Hansen will continue as Senior Principals with the firm to provide their expert services for our clients. HAL has also named Richard Noble, Lance Nielsen, and Ben Miner as Senior Principals.
