Hansen, Allen & Luce (HAL) recently formalized its partnership with Cascade Energy under the name Aquafficiency.
Over the past six years our two firms have worked together to deliver Strategic Energy Management (SEM) engagements to over 50 water utilities. The partnership combines HAL’s deep insight into water system engineering with Cascade’s industrial energy efficiency expertise. Together, we have created a highly successful process for identifying specific, low-cost actions that save energy and money for large and small water systems alike.
With the new service name Aquafficiency, we are formalizing and focusing our offering as the water industry’s interest in energy management continues to grow in response to aging infrastructure, increasing energy costs, and stricter water quality standards.
“All public water systems can save energy,” said HAL vice president Steve Jones. “We help them pursue those opportunities and operate more sustainably. It goes far beyond equipment. We look at the whole water system and find ways to optimize it for energy, hydraulics, and water quality.”
Aquafficiency helps water utilities understand energy issues, identify cost-effective efficiency opportunities, implement new operations, evaluate capital projects, monitor performance, and build organizational capacity for long-term energy management success
