Great Salt Lake Workplan announced

The Utah Division of Water Resources has announced the Workplan for the Great Salt Lake Basin Integrated Plan.

The Workplan is the first step in a comprehensive study to “ensure a resilient water supply for Great Salt Lake and its watershed.”

“This plan is a significant step toward addressing the complex challenges we face in preserving and protecting this remarkable natural wonder,” said Division of Water Resources Director Candice Hasenyager in a press release.

A team including Jacobs, HAL, The Langdon Group, and Clyde Snow developed the Workplan. The team synthesized information across the watershed related to water quantity and quality, water supply, water demand, surface and groundwater diversions, depletions, and return flows to map out further work to support long-term planning for Great Salt Lake.
