The Utah Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers has selected Easton Hopkins as the recipient of the 2025 Fresh Face of the Year.
Hopkins, a water resources engineer at Hansen, Allen & Luce (HAL), received the award during the section’s annual conference held June 13 in Ogden, Utah.
As a graduate student, his technical perspective has grown remarkably. Easton emphasizes careful stakeholder engagement in water infrastructure development, with the ultimate goal of providing a reliable water resource for Utah that supports all residents. He has worked to incorporate this model in the academic and professional sphere, bridging communities of theory and practice to make a greater impact in the community. This vision comes at a critical time for the state, when water resilience has been under the microscope of the public and deadlines for reliability loom in the near future.
We congratulate him on this prestigious award.
