Brad Parry receives Schnitzer Prize of the West

We’re excited to see Brad Parry, Vice Chairman for the Northwestern Band of the Shoshone Nation, recognized with the inaugural Schnitzer Prize of the West.

Led by Parry, the Wuda Ogwa Cultural and Land Restoration Project is restoring ancestral land at the Bear River Massacre site, bringing healing to both the land and the community. Hansen, Allen & Luce is honored to serve as the project’s engineer.

The Schnitzer Prize of the West, presented by the High Desert Museum, celebrates visionary leaders whose work is shaping a shared future. Parry was selected from nearly 100 nominees for “his uncommon collaborations, and his innovative response to the urgent issues of sovereignty, ecological restoration, and water security.”
