Chief Executive Officer
Steve Jones is the Chief Executive Officer for Hansen, Allen & Luce (HAL). Steve’s expertise is in helping clients with water management decisions, water resources planning and design, and is a recognized expert in water rights and water management optimization. He regularly advises the Utah DWQ, DWRe, and DDW on design standards, water use, conservation, and other regulatory matters. Steve has helped many water systems identify inefficiencies and develop sustainable solutions. He has assisted Utah communities with developing responsible level of service and rates to match their water supply capacity. He is trusted by the water community to deliver defensible win-win solutions. Steve is sought after by the largest water systems in the nation to help resolve complex issues.
Steve is a board member of the American Water Works Association, Intermountain Section, and recently served as the Section’s Chair. He received M.S. and B.S. degrees in Civil Engineering from Brigham Young University. For over 24 years he has played the cello in the Orchestra at Temple Square. He is a recipient of the HAL Service with Integrity Award and the HAL Technical Excellence Award. Steve has spent his 25+ year career at HAL, where he has appreciated the opportunity to serve local and nationwide communities.
